Yes, that would be a good idea.  I'm sure we'd see a bug report on
mismatched tex prompts right away otherwise. :-/

Sounds good, but I agree it should probably be post 5.9.1.  At this
point the thing to do is make the mimimal changes needed to head off
bug reports :-).
