It is a good idea, but I consider it a relatively trivial one at this
point compared to the amount of work needed to solve it properly. If
we find ourselves totally unable to use breqn expressions can be broken
down by hand for producing a pdf for release. Without including
maximabook in the tarball the issue largely vanishes anyway. breqn is
optional - it is handy but not strictly necessary. It doesn't need to
be included either in the source of maximabook or the final pdf, and it
is not strictly necessary to generate said pdf. (Indeed, Richard has
commented on the past on the limitations of breqn - a better solution
at the Maxima level has always been indicated.)

This issue will come up again when we start serious GUI work, and the
issues will be almost identical in many cases. So my thinking is wait
until we can address the issue properly, and when we do we will solve
more problems than just breqn.
