My biggest complaint with xmaxima and wxMaxima is that new output doesn't
overwrite old output when
a previous input command is changed. If you need to make changes to
previous input commands,
the output gets jumbled up. As a non-youthful Maxima user, I'm not too
interested in formatted input and
lots of dialog boxes for input. But I understand that such things may be
more attractive to youthful users.
If your python interface overwrites old output when a command is edited, I
think it could be
a major improvement over xmaxima.
