I am serious but the GUI I am working on will not work on Windows (which I
understand is your main user base). Nevertheless, what would be learnt and
developed here would equally apply to "The" GUI as and when someone wants to
develop it.
I can understand if you want to wait for that someone to step forward before
starting the large amount of work that this would be.
There is also the element of "if you build it, they will come" to consider.
