Re: Bad file names convention for spanish and portuguese documentation

i agree that the info, html, and pdf outputs should all be named
maxima.info, etc., instead of embedding the language code in the file name.

last week i renamed the main texinfo files for es and pt to maxima.texi,
and put "@setfilename  maxima.info" in each one.
so now the output files are maxima.info, maxima.html, and maxima.pdf.

i did not rename the subsidiary files Affine_pt.texi, etc., since these
don't have an effect on the output file name.
it might be cleaner to have them all follow the same naming convention,
but it didn't seem worth the trouble to rename them all.

on the topic of file names, i am planning to move the english language
files from doc/info/ into doc/info/en in the near future.

i don't understand this remark. what do the values C and POSIX represent here?
is this a collision between different uses of $LANG ?
