I reverted back to the original affine config files and tried to
load(affine); and got the same 'Load failed' error running as root. I
then made the binary-gcl with full read/write access and and tried to
load(affine); I got some additional errors but it also created a
sloop.data file in the new binary-gcl directory. The latest error is:
(%i1) load(affine);

Thanks for any suggestions!
