I think it is right decision to kill omplotdata and use
xmaxima instead (xmaxima is ~500Kb tcl script and good half
of it is omplotdata verbatim).

I'm really glad you taking care of xmaxima! There is several
xmaxima-related bugs in bag-tracking system at SF.
It would be great if you'll take a lot at them.
Mostly it is xmaxima-maxima interaction problems.
In certain situations (lisp errors, batch with trailing
comment etc ...) xmaxima hangs probably not being able
to recognize maxima's end-of-output.
