SF download counts indicate about 10 times as many downloads
for Windows as for anything else (Linux or source code).
However there are other sites from which you can download
binaries for other systems (mostly Linux) so maybe the actual
proportion of Linux users is higher.

I doubt if a poll would be very accurate. You could try analyzing
the header fields of messages posted to the mailing list.
Even that isn't entirely accurate since people use different
machines for working or for reading email.
