Hallo Uwe,
you will have the correct case in TeXmacs when you execute all recommended 4 steps.
(With wrong settings I experienced this case conversion too.)
You did step 1 and 2 by yourself.
Step 4 was done by TeXmacs due to the installing sequence Maxima, TeXmacs.
If you still have old versions of Maxima installed on your computer, please delete the
corresponding paths from \plugins\pluginpaths.txt.
Please execute step 3.
