So it appears to me that you are able to post to the mailing list successfully.
It is true that messages are not being archived at
http://www.math.utexas.edu/pipermail/maxima
(most recent message is October 1).
But that affects everyone. By the way, another interface to messages
from the Maxima mailing list is:
