Unless ecl becomes the official version on Windows, I think we need to
keep gcl working.

I personally don't want to try ecl.  Two lisps with an occasional test
on gcl is takes more than enough of my time already. :-)

You (we) will have to depend on the friendly gcl maxima testers to
keep testing with gcl.
