By the way, when the official release comes out,
maybe you can update the Maxima ports page
(somewhere at http://maxima.sourceforge.net/wiki,
sorry I don't have the exact link at the moment).

I've restored MEMQ in both the release branch and the trunk of CVS.
So further release candidates and releases will have it.
