wxmaxima can't find help files under debian 4.0

Hi 

does anybody know what is wrong with the wxmaxima help on Debian etch?
It generates the error message:

  wxMaxima could not find help files.

  Please check your installation.

What do I have to do? (I've installed maxima, maxima-doc as well, by
the way, under Windows the wxmaxima help is working out of the box.)
