Dear all on this thread,
I have successfully reproduced the same error on
OpenSUSE Linux 10.3 with TeXLive, ghostscript 8.65, and
maxima 5.16.3 installed on Virtualbox on my Mac.
The root cause of the error (from imaxima view point) is that
the treatment of \input macro in latex is different on this
platform. This causes imaxima to fail to dump a latex file which
is necessary for processing tex files.
As I confirmed that my fix in imaxima.el does solve the issue,
I will post an updated imaxima-imath package on my website
soon.
Many thanks to those on this thread!!
