Yes, this has been discussed before. Yes, you should try to indent
nicely. But changing indentation should be separated from the actual
change to make diffs clearer about what happened. (Yes, sometimes this
is hard to do because we're all lazy.)
I think spaces are preferred. But if we're going to replace all tabs
with spaces, lets do it all at once for all files.
