I am documenting a few of the special functions in maxima, and doing a
few minor fixes.
For example, there are some routines in bessel.lisp that are unrelated
to Bessel functions:
- the maxima level expint() Exponential Integral E1 function
- the Plasma Dispersion Function, NZETA(Z)
My question is "What should we do with these functions?".
At present I intend to document them briefly in the manual - with
comments that
they are depreciated where appropriate - and move the functions when it
makes sense.
- expint() moves to expintegral.lisp
- nzeta() moves to a new file.
I don't plan to change the user visible behaviour.
... or I could just delete the duplicated functions such as expint() and
document
the changes in a new chapter of the manual - "Obsolete Features" or
similar.
