Maxima 5.18.1



'x' and 'y' are shown. Numbers are missing though. Help is also  
printed (in some Sans font, Helvetica perhaps).
On mac the 'default' monospaced font is 'Monaco', 'Helvetica' can be  
used as a Sans font. There is also Bitstream Vera (Sans .. and so  
on), I think it's on mac os x when installed (I also have Microsoft  
Office so I'm not sure). It you use Monaco or Helvetica, perhaps it  
would work ...
