Alexander,
I've found the problem.
I hadn't installed the GNU autotools. Now this is installed, 'make
install' was successfull.
Still we cann't run it, because it needs Glibc 2.5 and we have glibc 2.3
installed on our RHEL4 systems :-(
Does anybody knows if the autotools are only needed for the installation,
or also by running maxima?
