Dear All,
Apologies for wandering slightly off-topic.
A few times on here, I've heard talk of the Lambert W function. I
believe it's defined as the inverse of a more elementary function
f(x) := x*exp(x) ;
This more elementary function (well, actually -f(-x)) keeps cropping
up in a convection problem I'm working on, and I wonder if anyone
knows of a name for it, please? Calling it the "inverse Lambert W
function" seems to go all round the houses a bit.
