Here (wxmaxima 0.8.3a on linux) this menu item reads exactly as
I wrote you: "Configure".

In my opinion, this is a very minor issue.
I would recomend you to change your attitude if you plan to continue
to use free software in future. When it comes to such things there is
no "must" in the free software world. Please check the GNU Public
Licence, Disclaimer of Warranty for details.
