Subject: integration and differentiation with chain rule

Dear all,
I am having some problems with combining integration and differentiation of functions of functions, i.e. f(g(x)).
In these cases, the chain rule is important, but I don't know what to do when I have an expression containing an integral
as well as f(g(x)). To make the chain rule work, I need dependencies, but to make the integration work, I cannot use
dependencies.
So: is there a way to integrate a function f(g(x)) that has dependencies declared,
or: is there a way to differentiate a function f(g(x)) using the chain rule when no dependencies are declared?
Regards,
NB
