Maxima under Windows 7 : Maxima under Windows XP error

Hello X.J.

I believe the error message wants to say that there is a firewall
blocking wxMaxima's socket connection to Maxima. 
Do you perhaps run another firewall?

You can check with the task manager if both maxima and wxmaxima are
running. 
If I am not mistaken the command line version should work anyway.
