Just to confuse things a little more, here is what I get on two
different systems with two different versions of clisp:
(%i1) build_info();
Maxima version: 5.21post
Maxima build date: 11:14 8/2/2010
Host type: i386-apple-darwin9.8.0
Lisp implementation type: CLISP
Lisp implementation version: 2.49 (2010-07-07) (built 3489689289)
(memory 3489750895)
(%i5) Evaluation took 0.3104 seconds (1.7102 elapsed) using 2.541 MB.
(%i1) build_info();
Maxima version: 5.21post
Maxima build date: 9:27 7/28/2010
Host type: sparc-sun-solaris2.10
Lisp implementation type: CLISP
Lisp implementation version: 2.47 (2008-10-23) (built 3475493476)
(memory 3489312486)
(%i5)
Evaluation took 0.8562 seconds (2.2845 elapsed) using 2.481 MB.
It's a little slow, but nothing like the other examples.
