This is true, but I just checked that search for "maxima" on both google
and bing returns the sourceforge page as the first hit.
Regardless what would be the best name if the Maxima project were
started over, changing an established name is generally a baaaad idea.
When large corporations change the name of a product, they do so with
well-funded carefully-calculated marketing program. This is not
something which the Maxima community can do. And if the name were
instantly changed today, that still wouldn't help web searchers find any
of the interesting old content, which would still not be associated with
the new name.
