Isn't there a precompiled package of Vtk for Mac? I don't need to
compile anything in Linux or Windows.

Mouse interaction is different in Gnuplot and Vtk. Clic on the center of
the window and drag slowly to any direction. The velocity of rotation
depends on the distance from the center of the window. If you drag the
mouse with the right button, you activate the zoom, in and out. You can
even move your point of view inside the scene.

Yes. This is a weak point. Postscripts generated by Gnuplot are of
better quality.
Another weak point, at least in Ubuntu, is that you have to press the
'Q' key to close the window. You can't close it with the mouse.

It depends on what you want to plot. At this moment, we don't have
anything useful for 3d geometric objects.
