Lapack loading in Maxima, but not wxMaxima

I'm not sure if this bug has ever been resolved but I've noticed that the
wxMaxima distributed with Maxima 2.26.0 and 2.27.0 hangs forever after
trying to load lapack.

I do not have this problem using Maxima (command line)

Does anyone know how a work-around or fix wxMaxima?
