Hi,
I think that the best solution for the project wiki would be to keep it
hosted in Sourceforge. We have already experienced the problem of
hosting it in a server where only the wiki administrator has access.
I have seen the wiki that comes with the new software being used in
Sourceforge (Allura) and it seems fine for our needs. But if we want to
use it, we must migrate the project from the old Sourceforge software to
allure.
The upgrade must be done by one of the project administrators in
Sourceforge. According to their information everything will be upgraded,
except from the old MediaWiki and PHPBB. I have already made a backup of
the old MediaWiki content (haven't looked at PHPBB). However, there is
something to consider before upgrading to Allura:
"Note that the URLs used to access your code repositories will change,
and an email will be sent to all project developers with the new URLs
after the upgrade is complete.
Once you click Upgrade, the upgrade will be scheduled and will begin
shortly. Any changes made to your project while the upgrade is in
progress may not be reflected in the upgraded project.
Prior to upgrading, you can obtain a copy of your project's data as an
XML file by clicking on the project name, selecting Project Admin ?
Features, then selecting XML Export."
As reference, Wxmaxima has already migrated to Allura. Perhaps Andrej
can tell us about that process and give some advice?
You can see the new look for that project page and its wiki in

Jaime
