Maxima mentioned on Slashdot



Maxima doesn't have an entirely satisfactory way to automatically scale all arguments to the trigonometric functions by
%pi/180. There are some partial workarounds mentioned on the Maxima list:

I'm not a Slashdot reader, so maybe these messages (or others) have already been suggested. 

By the way: sin(30) = %pi/6 gives me the creeps--different things should generally have distinct names.
