At first, I tried to install Maxima in a directory called "Program Files
(x86)" and I got the error message that I mentioned. Then I tried
"Program Files" and I had the same problem. Finally, I tried a directory
called "temp" (?!) and it worked. Thanks a lot! But isn't it strange
that I am the first person to report this problem?
