Dear list,
the problem described below still persists. The graphic occasionally and
very irregularly is not displayed on the screen but stored in the file
C:/Users/Ziegenbalg/maxout_2.png
This is annoying in general and in particular when it happens in a
presentation.
It happens on various computers with Maxima 5.31.2 / wxMaxima 13.04.2
under Windows.
If anyone has an idea as to what might be the cause and how to avoid this
behaviour, please let me know.
Thank you,
Jochen
P.S.: The analogous thing happens with wxdraw2d.
P.P.S.: What I found out: when I use plot2d and draw2d instead of the
wx-versions of these commands, it seems to work fine, but then new windows
are opened for the graphics. For documentation purposes I would prefer the
wx-commands to work as the are supposed to do.

Dear
list,
w
hen using wxplot
I
sometimes
get the graphic wanted, but occasionally (but not always and not
predictably) I get the following strange result.
Example:
<<< new cell >>>
FL :
[[0,0],[1,1],[2,1],[3,2],[4,3],[5,5],[6,8],[7,13],[8,21],[9,34],[10,55],[11,89],[12,144],[13,233],
[14,377],[15,610],[16,987],[17,1597],[18,2584],[19,4181],[20,6765]]
<<< new cell >>>
wxplot2d([discrete, FL]);
*Output (instead of the graphic): *
wxxmltag(C:/Users/Ziegenbalg/maxout_2.png, img)
If you have an idea as to what might be the cause, please let me know.
I use
Maxima 5.31.2 with wxMaxima 13.04.2 under Windows.
Thank you very much,
Jochen Ziegenbalg
