Bug Tracking at Sourceforge?

This is probably known problem with maxima and automake 1.8 (I bet you have
very 1.8 on your system).  With 1.7 and below make install still works well.
Unfortunately I don't know automake well enough to grasp what is wrong
and make Maxima automake machinery work with automake 1.8.
