Hello,
In reference to the Spanish translation, I have committed
the translated texi files sent to me by Juan Pablo Romero.
The files are in maxima/doc/info/es/. Here is the log message:
"Files supplied by Juan Pablo Romero to Robert Dodier.
I (Dodier) am committing the files verbatim, excluding
the files maxima.es.{log,vrs,cp,fn,vr,tp,ky,pg,toc,aux} and
Trigonometric.es.texi~ and moving tex_es/texinfo.tex into
the same directory as the other files. The basis for the
translation was a revision of the English texi files from
some months ago. There are some files not yet translated but the
majority of the text is translated.
A Makefile is needed. An attempt to execute makeinfo by
hand failed; apparently there are some changes that need
to be made to these files in order to get a workable document."
Very soon JP will be a Maxima developer and able to work on
the files directly. As the translation of the user documentation
is essential to widespread (i.e., planet-wide) adoption of
Maxima, I am very excited to see this translation in progress.
