I like (1) as long as we maintain xmaxima as official part
of Maxima but it may prove to be too much work.
(2) isn't realistic since nobody volunteer to mess
with xmaxima code (I guess).
I browsed new html pages on Maxima site with maxima.
It is not nice but still can be useful even with lost
formatting.
So my option is try (1) if possible and if it is
too hard use (3). Ultimately in some time we should
switch to (3) anyway.
