Maxima error, just installed

Installed maxima on ubuntu gutsy, getting this error:
Maxima encountered a Lisp error: Error in PROGN [or a callee]: Broken
pipeAutomatically continuing.To reenable the Lisp debugger set
*debugger-hook* to nil.

Also plots are not working.
