Hi,
I am having some problems running Maxima 5.13.0 in Ubuntu 8.04.1 (trying
to change preferences causes program to crash)... I'm hoping the new
version might solve this & some other problems; appearance (I do dual
boot w/ Windows XP & Wxmaxima looks & works *very* well, so far). I
went to the discussed download site (@S.F.) but all I could find are
.rpm files... is there, or will there be a debian (.deb) option ? There
is/might be a way to convert said, but this is evidently, not
recommended...
Also, updating the repository file (which is how I got the earlier
version) might be the best way for debian users... & if there is a
synaptic package manager address, also could work...
