As to me,
*gnuplot_prefix* and *gnuplot_suffix* (postfix) are the best pair for raw
gnuplot code in the beginning and the end.
prefix and suffix (postfix) are all valid English words.
To be compatible with previous code, you can keep gnuplot_preamble and just
add two new parameters *gnuplot_prefix* and
*gnuplot_suffix.*
I think another parameter is needed*: gnuplot_plot_prefix*. you can use it
to output a "#" in the same line but in front of the plot command of
gnuplot to disable it.
It is necessary to be able to disable the maxima generated plot command in
the gnuplot script to write raw gnuplot scripts within maxima freely.
