Hmm.  Is this system available by any chance?  EQN, if it is the troff
typesetter, is still available as part of groff.

Curiously enough, I don't know of one capable of significant line
breaking, unless Mozilla's can.

I agree we will eventually need to impliment a new solution.  But in
the meantime, the current efforts do provide some functionality now.
